April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began the guitar and piano lessons in 7th grade which sparked her interest. At the age of seven she began to take guitar and piano lessons. The lessons sparked her passion in songwriting. In her 14th year April was a big devotee of her time writing and practicing songs. Soon after she began taking trips to write with her father, who lived in NY in New York and LA. April began to include additional relevant subjects into the song, which she called the Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure problems and suicides among teenagers. Lockhart has her own following and also works as an online lifestyle blogger for the renowned Ilia clean beauty brand. It's true that she was born without a left hand and that creates her unique. However, this isn't the only characteristic of her. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not conceal her status as disabled, but neither does it make a point of it. The message? This is the message that we all share many identities, we're more complex than we think we're. It's not my intention to let that define me I don't want to be a disability influencer where that's all I discuss because there are so many other elements to me. Lockhart states in video form from her home in Nashville. My day-today life is not dependent on it. I lead a normal, everyday life and find my own solutions to problems. It's an integral aspect of my existence, and it's imperative to talk about it. Lockhart inspires us to keep moving forward with self-acceptance. Still, she admits that she went through a few phases with her physique, feeling insecure at times to wear outfits that showcased her arms. Now, though she dons what she's comfortable in and post pictures of herself in these outfits on social networks with a sense of pride. Self-love, according to her, is a kind of journey. "I believe that you'll be there," she said. It's a long journey. I'm not sure you'll ever reach your destination. It's essential to surround yourself with people who are able to see and know your true heart.
